Any AFSA member, spouse, or dependent child can apply now for the 2027 Union Plus Scholarship. The 2027 Union Plus Scholarship application is officially open and eligible AFSA members and their families can get a head start on the application process. Applications are not due until January 31, 2027, but applicants can begin now, save their application, and return to it later.

Applicants must be accepted into an accredited college or university, community college, or recognized technical or trade school when the award is issued.

No Degree Restrictions

Whether you're pursuing an associate degree, bachelor's degree, graduate degree, professional program, or a technical or trade-school education, the Union Plus Scholarship is an opportunity worth exploring. And there is no requirement to purchase a Union Plus product or participate in a Union Plus program to apply.

Union Plus recently announced its 2026 Scholarship winners. Last year, the program awarded $300,000 in scholarships to 181 students representing 42 unions.

For AFSA members and their families, the 2027 scholarship application is another opportunity to help offset the cost of education.
