Current Communications - November 2025

AASU Members,

As we enter the season of gratitude, I want to take a moment to reflect on all that we’ve accomplished together and to express my heartfelt appreciation for each of you.

This fall has been a time of continued growth, collaboration, and progress for AASU. Our bargaining team has made steady strides toward finalizing our first collective bargaining agreement—work that reflects countless hours of dedication and advocacy on behalf of Sweetwater’s administrators. Each tentative agreement brings us closer to a historic milestone for our association and for the leaders who make this district strong.

I am deeply grateful for our members’ professionalism, unity, and support throughout this process. Whether you’ve attended a meeting, provided feedback, or simply stayed informed, your engagement strengthens our collective voice and ensures that AASU remains member-driven and transparent.

As part of our ongoing commitment to communication, AASU will continue to share monthly newsletters and will soon begin hosting virtual meetings focused on union business and member input. These opportunities are designed to keep every member informed, connected, and involved in shaping the direction of our organization.

During this season of reflection, I also want to recognize the incredible work you do every day—supporting staff, inspiring students, and leading with empathy and excellence. Your dedication makes a lasting difference in our schools and communities, and it does not go unnoticed.

Thank you for your leadership, your partnership, and your continued belief in the power of collective advocacy. Together, we are not only building a stronger union—we’re building a stronger future for all Sweetwater administrators.

Wishing you and your loved ones a restful and joy-filled Thanksgiving season.

With gratitude and appreciation,
Dianne Huslin
