BARGAINING UPDATE #1
Dear AASU Members in Good Standing:
On Tuesday, May 28, the AASU Bargaining Team met with the SUHSD Bargaining Team for our first bargaining session.
AASU Bargaining Team is:

After introductions and opening remarks/Q and A, the AASU team opened bargaining our first collective bargaining agreement by presenting the linked proposals. Please remember, these are PROPOSALS. The District may tentatively agree or they may counter propose. These are not a “done deal” until tentative agreement is reached. In some cases, due to cut and paste, the formatting is inconsistent. This will be corrected prior to the final tentative agreement so please don’t be concerned about formatting. The District did not respond in writing to any of the proposals and no tentative agreements were reached.

Following each bargaining session, AASU will provide all Members in Good Standing with a bargaining update via e-mail to your personal e-mail. We fully believe in transparency and will include all proposals and counter proposals and a summary of what occurred at the bargaining table.
Due to end of the school year, off-calendar time, and opening of school – bargaining will commence again in August. Three dates were calendared – August 4, 14 and 28.
We are off to a good start in bargaining our first contract!!!!
