LAPA Report: The state legislature returned from its spring recess on April 6, 2026, and began a full week of committee hearings. Today also marks the deadline for legislators with spot bills (bills introduced without significant changes) to have intended language amended into their bills.

Our LAPA Committee will meet on Monday, April 13, 2026, to discuss newly amended bills currently on our 2026 Legislative Status Report, as well as any new bills not previously discussed.
