AFSA President Ernie Logan on Labor Day

"The voices of people who work every day to support themselves and their families is on the rise."

We must continue to be vocal to define our future. We no longer can sit on the sidelines. We no longer can have business as usual. It is time to rethink the role of our union and the role of our activism.

I am asking every member to think how they can get involved in our union.

What can you do to make your union stronger?

These are not ordinary times. The future of our children, our communities and our nation is at stake.

Working together, working people can make a real difference, and I am so honored to stand hand and hand with my sisters and brothers marching this Labor Day.
