WHEREAS the American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA) believes that job security and the protection of rights are essential for educational leaders to perform their professional responsibilities without undue fear of reprisal and
WHEREAS the American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA) believes that rating and ranking based solely on students test scores should not be the sole criterion for the dismissal, reassignment, or compensation of Principals and
WHEREAS the American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA) strongly supports due process rights and defined terms of employment for all employees,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA) urges all AFSA local and affiliates to seek the enactment of legislation, regulations and policies that will provide job security, due process rights based upon a just cause concept and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA) support its locals and affiliates in fighting any attempt to diminish the existing rights of Principals.
