WHEREAS the American Federation of School Administrators (AFSA) supports union workers in providing services to our public schools, and
WHEREAS private, not -for-profit and for-profit organizations and corporations have been engaged to direct educational programs, schools and services in public education systems, and
WHEREAS state and local Boards of Education are outsourcing the work of unionized employees,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the American Federation of School Administrators will support its locals and affiliates in reversing the trend to non-union work and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that non-public school entities providing services to our public schools be held to local, state and federal laws and guidelines and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these providers must be held to the same level of accountability as employees of public schools.
